Haiti

I can't wait to get this shirt.

To me, cause shirts seem like such a good way to go... you donate $, get a cool shirt, and raise awareness, make people think, every time you wear it.

Talk about a win-win situation. Not to mention that it's manufactured by Theory. ha.

NY Fashion Week 2010

All the news about London, Moscow, etc. is getting me so excited for the new fall collections in the best of the fashion weeks (in my opinion), New York.

So sooooonnn..
Pin It Now!

yay!

I seriously have the best boyfriend in the world.
translation: he bought me the pink tea kettle :)
it's the best, and I'm not sure how I survived so long without fresh boiled water for my tea.
perfect timing too, because the weather forecast for this week is low-30's and snow.
ugh.

i apologize..

I need to do a want post.

I know, I know... it's really boring for other people, but there are 2 things that have been at the top of my list for a few weeks now.. and it's killing me to just stare at them online by myself, brainstorming every possible justification for purchasing them.

number 1: the PINK KitchenAid tea kettle.
why I need it: I love tea... and nothing beats water boiled in a tea kettle. they're so important to me in general that they come BEFORE a microwave on my "kitchen necessities" list. but clearly, after a range. ha. I would use it probably an average of 3 times a day... that's how often I use it when I'm at home. plus, it's pink. an obvious necessity.

number 2: the dream bag.

*sorry about the tiny picture..

why I need it: flowers AND fringe. need I say more? ok, kidding... I'm not completely clueless.. flowers and fringe are a common pairing. but this is so different. I can't decide what to categorize it under, which is probably half the reason I love it. To me, it has hints of hippy, native american, laid-back california, and glam style to it. I love things that I can't exactly define or make complete sense of. Rarely do I ever fall into "love at first sight" with objects... this was a blatant exception. The second I saw it, I felt almost like someone had picked my mind and made a bag out of the concepts they found in there. perfection.

I'll let you know WHEN these beautiful objects come into my loving possession.

i miss Tokyo.

there's not that much more to say... it seems pretty self-explanatory.

But what do I miss the most?

the subway, the shopping and the convini.

random, I know... but I guess it's really just the things that the US (or at least Ohio) has NONE of. Don't get me wrong, I was perfectly happy after my birthday shopping spree reunion with my beloved Nordstrom Rack. but there's just something missing... the mystery of exploring all the teensy shops in ura-hara... having people recognize you in certain stores that you frequent... that tiny piece of tape holding your shopping bags shut.

Clearly, it's the little things.

and don't even get me started on the people, because that would definitely end in tears.

I feel like my heart's being spread out across the world... Tokyo, So Cal.. Ohio.

...but I can't decide if that's a good or a bad thing.
